Stefan is a partner at Heisse Kursawe Eversheds, heads the tax practice group from Munich and is also part of the corporate/M&A practice groups. In providing advice to clients, Stefan includes the important taxation as well as legal aspects and gives the client the opportunity to decide whether the emphasis should be on taxation or on corporate law advice. Stefan has supported various national and international corporate restructurings in recent years. Furthermore, he provides project-related advice in national M&A transactions and supports transactions from a tax law point of view. His permanent clients include major international corporations as well as medium-sized companies, which he advises in all questions concerning corporate law as well as regarding certain tax law issues.
Stefan’s recent experience includes:
- Comprehensive experience in advising US clients, provision of support to the US Department of Justice as a German tax law expert in proceedings at the Boston tax court.
- Advice to a globally operating manufacturer of components in the plant and mechanical engineering industry in restructuring and merging its numerous German operating units
- Advice to a major German conglomerate in the acquisition of a company
- Advice regarding the tax law aspects of employee participation schemes, in particular cross-border schemes

Legal 500 Deutschland 2012/2013 names him as a highly "efficient" lawyer as regards corporate law / M&A (medium-sized deals). Stefan is a frequently recommended lawyer in JUVE 2010-2011 for corporate law.
