Eversheds is expanding to Switzerland
Eversheds International continues to increase. The renowned Swiss law firm Schmid Lawyers joined the international network Eversheds at the beginning of this year.
Under the name Schmid Eversheds Lawyers, the law firm with 21 lawyers - located in Zurich and Bern - advises Swiss and international clients since 01 January 2008.
The expansion to Switzerland represents a significant step with view to the development of the Eversheds network. Only few international law firms managed to build up their own office in Switzerland and/or join a cooperation with renowned local offices. With the two Swiss locations the Eversheds network now comprises 35 offices in 21 countries.
With its juristic competence on the local market Schmid Lawyers has already successfully cooperated with the Eversheds network and especially with Heisse Kursawe Eversheds" location in Munich in many mutual projects. Tyco, Sun Microsystems, Sixt AG, BEKO Holding and AC Service AG are, for example, some of the mutual clients.
Schmid Eversheds is specialized in Corporate Law, M&A, Tax and Commercial Law. In addition to its experts in the Intellectual Property, IT Law, Pharma and Healthcare Law Schmid is well-known for its strong Litigation Team. The law firm employs 15 lawyers in total, 6 of them are partners.
