International law firm Eversheds continues to expand and will open its own office in Scotland in January 2009. The Eversheds network now comprises 40 offices in 25 countries.
Eversheds" new office will be built up by two former partners of McGrigors, one of the largest lawyers" offices in Scotland. The office will be located in Edinburgh. The finance metropolis is one of Europe"s oldest university cities and offers an excellent environment as location for research and business.
With view to the new office Dr. Matthias Heisse, Managing Partner of Heisse Kursawe Eversheds, said:
"Scotland is an important business location. Until now there are only few international lawyers" offices but we know that many Scottish companies are looking for one which has comprehensive international experience and which can offer on-site advice. With the opening of an own office in Scotland we will not only be able to offer optimal service to companies which are located there but will also be able to help them with regard to cross-border questions of law."
The official opening of the office is planned to take place in January 2009.
